We Know a Lot About Small Beginnings.
As a company founded by Ghanaian entrepreneurs, we know well how difficult it is to start at anything. The doubts, anxieties, uncertainties, and the hard work required to achieve any goal. As Ghana begins this new chapter in personalized credit scoring, we will need to collectively put our energies to work towards a secure financial future for each of us.
Our mission is simple: to make credit accessible and responsible in Ghana.
A casual conversation among three entrepreneurs in 2021 about Ghana's digital transformation sparked this compelling vision. Ghana is ready and ripe for a credit economy.
Yes. A credit economy in Ghana.
The foundations are all in place, a widely connected population thanks to the introduction of mobile telephony in 1992, the Ghana Card in 2006, the Credit Reporting Act of 2007, the launch of the Ghana Interbank Payment & Settlement System (GHIPSS) in 2008, the launch and rapid growth of mobile money from 2009, the aggressive expansion of internet coverage from 2010, the launch of national addressing and mobile interoperability from 2017, the aggressive digitization of government services from 2020 and the growing usage of the Ghana Card from 2021.
These provide the perfect background to kickstart a nationwide personalized credit scoring system.
